Mr. Devlin, founder and principal of Devlin Architecture, is a registered architect licensed in several states, and an urban planner. His career encompasses a wide array of project types including: residential (custom single-family, multi-family of all types including market rate, low income, and HOPE VI), commercial, community facilities, professional offices, health care and hospitality. Mr. Devlin has designed master plans for residential neighborhoods as well as mixed-use projects. As an urban designer, his focus lies in community housing design and feasibility analysis for real estate development.
Mr. Devlin was a co-founder and principal of Alexandria Design Collective (Alexandria, Virginia). ADC produced master plans for several residential developments along with custom home and commercial building design. He has also served as Vice President of Devlin Inc., a family-owned contracting and development firm.
Early in his career, Mr. Devlin worked first as a designer for Hellmuth Obata and Kassabaum, then for Cooper Carry and Associates, both Washington, DC-based firms where he gained experience in master plans and office buildings for phased office and mixed-use developments.
Mr. Devlin earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters in Urban Design and Planning from the University of Washington. During his graduate studies, he also participated in the Rome Studies Program. He, and his family live in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
